Joint session of parliament to condemn desecration of Holy Quran

ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): A joint session of parliament will be held today to condemn desecration of Holy Quran and develop a national response strategy against the abhorrent act in Sweden.

The decision to hold joint session of the parliament was made in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the issue of the desecration of Holy Quran in Sweden.

“The sentiments and feelings of the nation should be fully expressed through the forum of Parliament,” PM said and added “A joint resolution should be passed in the joint session of the Parliament.”

According to a circular issued by the National Assembly Secretariat, the joint session of the Parliament will be held at 3:00pm today (Thursday).
