LAHORE  (Manend News): In much delayed move, Punjab imposes ban on sale of pre-slaughtered chicken. According to Manend News Report the Punjab government has imposed a ban on the sale of pre-slaughtered chicken across the province. Poultry sellers have been directed to slaughter healthy, live chickens in front of the customers.

Citizens have also been advised not to purchase pre-slaughtered chicken. People in Karachi are likewise urged to ensure that the chicken is slaughtered in their presence. This measure has been taken to prevent the sale of unlawful (haram) meat.
