LAHORE, (MANEND NEWS): Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-
Islami Pakistan and President of the Political Electoral Standing
Committee, in a meeting with Sindh leaders Hezbollah Jhakro and
Abdul Hafeez Bijarani, said that the whole country was engulfed in
lawlessness. Law enforcement agencies themselves have become
outlaws. People are not getting protection of life, property and honor.
The incidents of tribal clashes and killings in Sindh are a great human
tragedy. Federal, provincial governments and state law enforcement
agencies should address this.
The leaders informed that a conference of all parties has been
convened by Jamaat-e-Islami, but the apathy and partiality of the
governments remains a torment for the people. Law enforcement
agencies have joined hands with the oppressors.
Liaqat Baloch said that the government should rescue the missing
persons and provide all kinds of legal protection to the people.
Liaqat Baloch said that all the economic indicators announced by the
government are lies and deception. There has been no real increase in
GDP. Instability in the stock market is sinking billions, consumer
purchasing power is depleted and inflation and rising utility bills have
become deadly. Imports and exports, exchange rates are artificial and
temporary. However, the government has not taken concrete, real and
public confidence-building measures to stabilize the economy. In
practice, employees are losing their jobs and unemployment is rising,
buyers’ pockets are empty, women’s purses are starving for money.
Rising unemployment, rising inflation, bank defaults on credit and
debit cards are on the rise. This is part of the government’s failed
economic strategy.
Liaqat Baloch told the youth delegation that Imran Khan’s biggest
failure was that he had turned the hopes of the younger generation
into despair. The youth are the bright future of the country and the
nation. Young people are obsessed with Islam, Pakistan and a dignified
life. Jamaat-e-Islami has given courage and perseverance to the youth
in every age with dignity, honor and respect against the oppressive
society. The young generation should support Jamaat-e-Islami, the
country will come out of the crisis, inshaAllah!
