LAHORE, (MANEND NEWS): President of Pakistan Muslim League-
Nawaz (PML-N), opposition leader in National Assembly Mian Shehbaz
Sharif on Tuesday appeared before Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)
in sugar scandal case.
According to details, strict security arrangements have been ensured
on the occasion to avoid any untoward incident.
FIA Lahore on June 15 had issued call up notices to Shehbaz Sharif for
appearance to answer the four questions regarding his assets and
money laundering of alleged 25 billion rupees through accounts of
lower grade employees of Ramzan Sugar Mills.
Four questions were mentioned in the notice and shahbaz was directed
to bring the supporting documents with his reply.
Earlier, the sessions court had approved interim bail of Shehbaz Sharif
and his son Hamza Shahbaz in sugar scandal case.
Additional session judge Syed Ali Abbas conducted hearing on the
matter and sought report from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in
this regard.
The court had barred the authorities from arresting both the leaders
till July 10.
