ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): New alleged scandal of Bahria Town
has become popular on social media. Important government
documents have surfaced regarding new scandal of Bahria Town
Karachi. After surfacing the documents the two big claims of Prime
Minister Imran Khan have been negated.
The claim of PM Imran Khan has been negated in which he says that
laws are implemented on the poor and not implemented against the
rich and the rich escapes. Prime minister has been continuously saying
that there should be same law for the rich and the poor in the country.
The government documents have negated the narrative of Prime
Minister Imran Khan that the money of the nation should be taken
back from those who have looted this. Bahria Town which committed
dacoity on the rights of people of Sindh had to deposit Rs460 billion in
installments in national exchequer but in the government documents it
has been said that currently the installments should not be taken from
the Bahria Town and Bahria Town will use this money in construction
sector and interest on this money should be taken. It has been said
that the Bahria Town after the completion of the seven years deadline
given by Supreme Court of Pakistan will deposit the whole money at
once in the national exchequer.
It has been revealed in the documents that how Bahria Town files are
forwarded with fast pace and are accorded approval by the
institutions.
The law ministry has submitted these documents in Supreme Court of
Pakistan through Additional Attorney General Sohail Mahmood.
Addition attorney general has written on the first page of these
documents that he has received these documents from the Law
Ministry and he wants to submit these documents for review of the
court so he should be permitted to submit these documents.
Additional attorney general has submitted these documents in
Supreme Court of Pakistan. Additional attorney general has also
submitted an affidavit along with the documents saying that all
documents present in these documents are attested and nothing has
been concealed in them. On 21st May these documents were
submitted in the court. The written reply of law ministry has also been
submitted in the Supreme Court of Pakistan. This is clear that the
narrative of Prime Minister Imran Khan regarding the law and
accountability has been badly damaged.
The law ministry has told that it has received a letter from the Prime
Minister Office on 4th April 2021, this letter was from Bahria Town,
which had date of 29th March 2021. The law ministry has written that
along with the letter of Prime Minister Office there was also a letter of
Naya Pakistan Housing Authority bearing date of 31st March 2021. The
law ministry has informed the Supreme Court of Pakistan that after
receiving letter from Prime Minister Office on 9th April 2021 it sought
the complete record of the case being heard by SC from the Attorney
General Office. The law ministry sought the record on 12th April which
was sent by the AG Office on 13th April. The law ministry has written
in the reply that the Bahria Town case record has been reviewed. After
reviewing it has asked two questions from Naya Pakistan Housing
Authority.
Q-01. Whether Bahria Town is known as a big player in the
construction sector?
Q-02. Whether Bahria Town is assisting Naya Pakistan Housing
Authority in its construction work?
The law ministry has written that the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority
has replied both questions in affirmative. According to the law
ministry, Naya Pakistan Housing Authority has informed that Bahria
Town has submitted two proposals in Naya Pakistan Housing Authority
in which it has given suggestion of constructing three thousand
apartments in Karachi and two thousand apartments in Islamabad.
The proposals given by Bahria Town are being reviewed and it is likely
possible that MoU will be soon signed with the Bahria Town in this
regard.
According to the legal experts if Bahria Town is given relaxation in this
matter then other people who commit corruption will reach Supreme
Court of Pakistan along with their applications that they will also
deposit their money in the national exchequer in installments and in
result of this a floodgate of cases could be opened and people will say
that they should be permitted to make investment in the housing
sector from the corruption money.
After surfacing this news, a vast level campaign is continued on social
media. On Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, government, prime
minister, law ministry and Bahria Town are being criticized.
