LONDON, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)
Quaid and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has
said that the Election of Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should hold
formal inquiry into the NA 249 bye-election that who committed
rigging and why results were stopped for hours. He said that if rigging
was not committed like this it would have been very good for the
country and for those who committed rigging it would have been good
for themselves too. Nawaz Sharif said that parliament should take
action over the revelations of former DG FIA Bashir Ahmed Memon.
While talking to media persons along with former finance minister
Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali, Hussain
Nawaz Shairf, Zubair Gill, Nasir Butt and others, Nawaz Sharif said
that in results of 70 polling stations in NA-249 Karachi PML-N was
leading, in 130 polling stations result PML-N was leading, 150 polling
stations result the PML-N was leading and in 190 polling stations the
PML-N was leading, adding that what is reason that after 190 polling
stations the results are stopped coming and they continue to stop for
many hours and later on PML-N starts loosing or it is got defeated.
Nawaz Sharif said that if results are delayed it means the theft of the
votes has been started. He said that the presiding officers could have
reached the returning officer’s office in half an hour time but the
results were not come for seven, eight or nine hours.
He said that 40 percent voters caste their votes in 2018 elections and
now 21 percent voters have caste vote. PML-N had secured 34,626
votes in 2018 elections in NA-249 Karachi and now PML-N has secured
15,473 votes. He said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had secured
7,236 votes from the constituency in 2018 elections and now it has
secured 16,156 votes. He said that anyone could guess after seeing
the results that if it is not rigging then what it is. He said that in 190
polling stations results PML-N was winning and later on it started
looking.
Nawaz Sharif said that PML-N candidate Dr. Miftah Ismail Ahmed has
written letter to the election commission of Pakistan over the issue.
Nawaz Sharif said former DG FIA Bashir Ahmed Memon has said that
Prime Minister Imran Khan had asked him to lodge terrorism cases
against Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz and file case against Justice
Qazi Faez Isa, adding that whether countries run like this, whether
prime minister runs his premiership like this. He said that PM Imran
Khan told Bashir Memon that whatever you have not done it was got
done by Chairman NAB in result of just my one phone call. He said
that now people are going for seeking $1 billion while holding begging
bowl and these people used to say that they will commit suicide but
will not seek money from anyone, adding that Pakistan’s respect has
been sold and put at stake, adding that country and economy has
been destroyed.
He said that the people are hungry and there are long queues for
purchasing sugar and flour is not available for the people, adding that
whether countries run like this. He said that medicines are not
available for the people, adding that coronavirus vaccine is not
available for the people.
Nawaz Sharif said that parliament should take action over the
revelations of Bashir Memon, adding that parliament is sovereign and
it should take notice of the matter and this matter should not be left
going unnoticed. He said that one responsible person has said this all
and this is our resolve that we will not allow this going unnoticed,
adding that no one should have doubt about it that how and why
punishments were awarded to Nawaz Sharif and how cases were filed
against Nawaz Sharif, adding that he was removed from the chair of
prime minister for not receiving salary from his son and decisions are
taken while pressurizing judges and people are being sent behind the
bars and punishments are being awarded to people.
