ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 118 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 795,627. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
17,117 on Sunday. So far 689,812 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 5,611 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 88 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 46 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 86.7 percent. During the last 24 hours 3,324 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 4,826 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 88,698 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and
active coronavirus patients in the country. Meanwhile Sindh province is
at first position in number of recovered coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come
on the second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are
14,979 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
There are 10,862 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 46,979
in Punjab, 12,730 active coronavirus in federal capital Islamabad,
1,227 in Balochistan, 2,288 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir
and 109 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 7,964 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,593 in Sindh, 3,103 in KP, 660 in Islamabad, 461 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 232 in Balochistan, and 104 in GB.
Furthermore 288,598 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in
Punjab, 277,593 in Sindh, 113,121 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 72,981 in
Islamabad, 21,618 in Balochistan, 16,463 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,253 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
11,538,771 coronavirus tests and 55,128 in the last 24 hours.
So far 262,138 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 233,655
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 95,591 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 59,591 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 20,159 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 13,714 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,040
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
