ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 135 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 734,423. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
15,754 on Wednesday. So far 641,912 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,681 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 76 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 40 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.1
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 87.4 percent. During the last 24 hours 3,645 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 4,216 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 76,757 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Sindh province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases and recovery of coronavirus patients in the
country. Meanwhile Punjab province is at first position in number of
deaths from the coronavirus and active coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come
on the second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are
13,090 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
There are 6,777 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 40,824
in Punjab, 12,911 active coronavirus in federal capital Islamabad, 845
in Balochistan, 2,206 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 104
in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 7,141 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,530 in Sindh, 2,732 in KP, 619 in Islamabad, 410 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 219 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 269,840 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh,
255,571 in Punjab, 101,045 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 67,491 in
Islamabad, 20,499 in Balochistan, 14,837 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,140 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
10,878,086 coronavirus tests and 48,092 in the last 24 hours.
So far 258,533 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 207,606
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 85,223 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 53,961 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 19,435 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 12,221 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 4,933
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
