CHITRAL (Manend News) Newly elected Member of National Assembly from Chitral, Abdul Taif, and Member Provincial Assembly from Upper Chitral District, Suraya Bibi, who is also Deputy Speaker of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, were warmly welcomed on their arrival to Chitral. Workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf went to Lowari Tunnel to receive and welcome them and brought them to Chitral in procession. During this time, the workers were waiting for them at various places in Ziarat, Ashriat, Drosh, Sayedabad, Buroz, Chamerkan and Chitral and greeted them by putting garlands in their neck. In Chamerkan, two cute babies daughters of Syed Mukhtar Ali Shah Advocate welcomed the visiting parliamentarians by offering them a bouquet of flowers.
A brief ceremony was also held on the top flour of a plaza in Drosh presided over by Haji Gul Nawaz Khan, President of Tehsil Drosh. On this occasion, he congratulated the newly elected members of the assembly and also advised them as a veteran politician that this seat of power (ruling) is temporary if you serve the people selflessly, you can be successful again, otherwise the people will reject you as they rejected formers representatives. Speaking at the event, Member National Assembly Abdul Latif said that he has entered politics with the determination to serve the nation. He said that Chitral is a best tourism spot but even than a backward district and here There is no factory, industry or big business. We have great potential of sources of tourism and if we take concrete steps to promote tourism, it will also give development to this area. He said that in order to develop tourism, the first thing is to improve condition of roads, but unfortunately the condition of the roads of Chitral is very bad. Will pick up on the floor fo assembly. He also urged the people to remain satisfied and bring to their notice whatever issues are happening in their area. Haji Sultan senior worker of party, Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Suraya Bibi and others also expressed their views in the event.
When the convoy reached Chitral, they were received by Tehsil Chitral Nazeem Prince Amanur Rehman at Governor’s Cottage and an Iftar party was also offered in their honor, which was attended by a large number of people.
