(MANEND NEWS): Celebrations across the country light up as Pakistan welcomed New Year with fireworks on Saturday. The world has been welcoming the year 2022 amid renewed fears about COVID-19.
Fireworks have illuminated the sky in all the metro cities including Islamabad.
In Karachi, on the other hand, nine people, including a 9-year-old girl, have been injured due to the aerial firing in the city.
All the injured have been moved to the hospital, rescue officials said. The incidents took place at Ranchor Line, Saddar, Gulistan-e-Johar, Baldia and North Nazimabad.
