(MANEND NEWS): Zoom and Microsoft have both recognized the growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the business world. In response, they have integrated AI features into their services to enhance their competitive advantage and provide added value to their customers.
Zoom’s AI-Powered Features
Zoom, the popular video-conferencing company, has introduced AI capabilities to its paid customers at no extra cost. These features include the AI Companion, previously known as Zoom IQ, and Zoom Docs.
The AI Companion automates repetitive tasks such as drafting chat responses and summarizing meetings. On the other hand, Zoom Docs offers a comprehensive document workspace with advanced collaboration tools. These AI capabilities are available in various subscription plans, starting from $149.9 and customized pricing for the Enterprise plan.
Zoom’s AI Architecture and Privacy Assurance
Zoom utilizes a federated multi-model AI architecture to power its AI capabilities. This framework integrates large language models from third-party sources and Zoom’s proprietary model. The objective is to optimize performance and reduce latency.
To address privacy concerns, Zoom has made it clear that customer data will not be used for training its AI models. Instead, publicly available data and other non-customer sources will be relied upon. This commitment aligns with the company’s revised Terms of Service, which prioritize the protection of customer data privacy.
Microsoft’s AI Integration with Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft has also embraced AI technology by incorporating it into its services. Microsoft 365 Copilot, powered by the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, introduces AI functionalities for tasks such as document creation, presentation development, and spreadsheet management.
This AI-powered tool aims to automate repetitive tasks, freeing up knowledge workers to focus on more innovative pursuits. By leveraging the capabilities of the OpenAI large language model and integrating an enterprise’s data from the Microsoft Graph and Microsoft 365 apps, Microsoft 365 Copilot offers a comprehensive solution.
Enterprise customers can access Microsoft 365 Copilot through a subscription priced at $30 per month per user for Microsoft 365 E3 E5 Business Standard and Business Premium customers.
Microsoft has also prioritized privacy and data security concerns by ensuring that Copilot only accesses authorized data. The same robust controls employed in other Microsoft 365 services are utilized to protect user information.
As businesses increasingly recognize the value of AI tools, Zoom and Microsoft have taken steps to integrate artificial intelligence into their services. By offering AI-powered features, they aim to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and provide added value to their customers.
