PESHAWAR, (MANEND NEWS): Ghulam Hussain / Sabirullah KP Govt decides to establish CFCs at Village and Neighborhood Council level
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government and Rural Development Department has decided to establish Citizen Facilitation Centers (CFCs) at the village councils (VCs) and neighborhood councils (NHCs) level across the province including the merged districts. Under this scheme, apart from birth, marriage and death certificates, all municipal facilities will be available and provided from one place of VC or NHC office as per the one-window operation policy of the provincial government.
In this regard, a joint meeting of Local Government Department and NADRA officials was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Syed Zaheerul Islam Shah, at the Local Government Secretariat Peshawar, wherein the above mentioned centers would be connected with the database of NADRA relating to the provision of municipal and all other facilities. The meeting took stock of all matters and issues for early implementation of this scheme in detail and some necessary decisions were also taken.
The Local Government Secretary revealed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has started the process of digitization of all government affairs and services, which is being implemented rapidly and its aim is to ensure the provision of all kinds of facilities and services to the people at their doorsteps. He said that due to these government initiatives, very soon any citizen will be able to get the services and facilities of the provincial government with in the blink of an eye by just clicking a finger on personal mobile phone and will not bother in future to go to different government offices for his necessary works like in the past and waiting for weeks or months therein. He said that now the services of local government department and rural development will be available online and all citizens will be able to utilize certifications and other LG services of local government department.
The Local Government Secretary however hoped that the NADRA authorities would cooperate with the Local Government Department in implementing the scheme and plan of setting up Facilitation Centers at Village and Neighborhood Council level as soon as possible so that all government facilities related to the government departments are available to the people at their doorstep level and thus the dream of a welfare state becomes a realization in the real sense, he concluded.

Minister LG congratulates cabinet-elect of PPC
KP Minister for Local Government, Elections and Rural Development, Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur has heartly congratulated the newly elected office bearers of Peshawar Press Club.
In a message of felicitation to the newly elected President Arshad Aziz Malik, he expressed hope that the PPC new cabinet would not only work for the welfare of the journalist community but the reformation of social problems and the identification of public grievances while maintaining the traditions of the press club and the media in KP. “Out media will continue helping out government and will fully cooperate in solving issues of the poor masses”, he maintained.
In the same way, he further expressed the hope that the journalist community will not be stingy in highlighting the candid measures and poor-friendly policies of our government for the overall development and prosperity of the people, and even will play the role of our vanguard in this mission, he added.
Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur clarified that our provincial government firmly believes in freedom of public expression and media and we have always welcomed positive criticism on government policies.
He assured the newly elected office bearers of Peshawar Press Club that the provincial government will fully support them in fulfilling their professional responsibilities and improving their working conditions.
