ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 79 deaths in the
last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has
surged to 834,146. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
18,149 on Monday. So far 728,044 patients have recovered in the
country. The positivity rate of coronavirus patients in Pakistan is 9.16
percent.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,213 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 87 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 44 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 87.3 percent. During the last 24 hours 5,842 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 5,377 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 87,953 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and
active coronavirus patients in the country and Sindh province is on the
second position. Meanwhile Sindh province is at first position in
number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country. On the other
hand federal capital Islamabad has come on third position in terms of
active coroanvirus cases. There are 12,037 active coronavirus patients
present in Islamabad. There are 15,683 active coronavirus patients
present in Sindh, 44,670 in Punjab, 11,769 active coronavirus in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,457 in Balochistan, 2,219 in Azad Jammu and
Jammu and Kashmir and 118 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 8,572 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,667 in Sindh, 3,392 in KP, 691 in Islamabad, 483 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 237 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
Furthermore 306,929 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in
Punjab, 285,626 in Sindh, 120,064 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 76,209 in
Islamabad, 22,620 in Balochistan, 17,371 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,327 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
11,928,095 coronavirus tests and 45,954 in the last 24 hours.
So far 265,276 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 253,687
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 104,903 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 63,481 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 20,926 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 14,669 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,102
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
