ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 113 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 829,933. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
18,070 on Sunday. So far 722,202 patients have recovered in the
country. Positivity rate of coronavirus patients is Pakistan is 9.74%.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,414 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 89 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 46 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 87 percent. During the last 24 hours 5,193 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 5,448 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 89,661 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and
active coronavirus patients in the country and Sindh province is on the
second position. Meanwhile Sindh province is at first position in
number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country. On the other
hand federal capital Islamabad has come on third position in terms of
active coroanvirus cases. There are 12,242 active coronavirus patients
present in Islamabad. There are 15,248 active coronavirus patients
present in Sindh, 46,306 in Punjab, 12,006 active coronavirus in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,505 in Balochistan, 2,236 in Azad Jammu and
Jammu and Kashmir and 118 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 8,550 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,658 in Sindh, 3,350 in KP, 691 in Islamabad, 477 in Azad
Kashmir, 237 in Balochistan, and 107 in GB.
Furthermore 304,889 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in
Punjab, 284,738 in Sindh, 119,277 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 75,892 in
Islamabad, 22,528 in Balochistan, 17,297 in Azad Kashmir and 5,312
in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 11,882,141
coronavirus tests and 45,275 in the last 24 hours.
So far 264,832 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 250,033
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 103,921 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 62,959 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 20,786 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 14,584 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,087
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
