ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 151 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 815,711. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
17,680 on Thursday. So far 708,193 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC), 5,480 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 89 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 48 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 86.8 percent. During the last 24 hours 3,699 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 5,263 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 89,838 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and
active coronavirus patients in the country and Sindh province is on the
second position. Meanwhile Sindh province is at first position in
number of recovered coronavirus patients in the country. On the other
hand federal capital Islamabad has come on third position in terms of
active coroanvirus cases. There are 12,727 active coronavirus patients
present in Islamabad. There are 12,983 active coronavirus patients
present in Sindh, 48,423 in Punjab, 11,943 active coronavirus in
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,355 in Balochistan, 2,266 in Azad Jammu and
Jammu and Kashmir and 141 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 298,818 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab,
281,385 in Sindh, 116,523 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22,118 in
Balochistan, 74,640 in Islamabad, 16,931 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,296 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, 8,327 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab, 4,629 in Sindh, 3,238 in KP, 233 in Balochistan, 677 in
Islamabad, 470 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 106 in GB. Pakistan
has so far conducted 11,739,027 coronavirus tests and 57,013 in the
last 24 hours.
So far 263,773 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 242,068
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 101,342 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 61,236 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 20,530 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 14,195 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,049
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
