Jahangir Tareen should face the accusations as premier cannot
compromise over process of accountability: Imran Ismail

ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Governor Sindh Imran Ismail says
Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed to across the board
accountability in the country. Imran Ismail said Prime Minister Imran
Khan is sad over the allegations that have been leveled against
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday along with Minister for
Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, he said the
Prime Minister cannot show any flexibility in accountability.
Imran Ismail said Jahangir Tareen should face the accusations as the
premier cannot compromise over the process of accountability. He said
Jahangir Tareen had been a close companion of Imran Khan and he,
along with his like-minded group, will definitely not want to harm PTI.
The governor went on to say that Pakistan’s economic situation is
improving and the nation’s future will be better. He said the opposition
is worried that the country is going towards stability.
Imran Ismail said chances of improved bilateral relations with India
have increased. He said Pakistan wants support of neighboring
countries over withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. Imran Ismail
said Jahangir Tareen will face inquiry of the allegations against him
like any other person.
He said Senator Ali Zafar has been given the task to get details about
the matter and submit report to the Prime Minister. He said Jahangir
Tareen also expressed confidence in Ali Zafar.
The Governor said the Prime Minister is focused on improving economy
of the country; and due to prudent policies of the government, positive
indicators are being witnessed in several sectors. He said exports and
foreign exchange reserves are on the rise and rupee is stabilizing.
He said the entire world is facing inflation due COVID-19; however,
the government is working to control it.
The Sindh Governor said the situation of the pandemic is highly
serious in the country, and people must follow the SOPs to control its
surge.
Speaking on the occasion, the Information Minister said Maulana
Fazlur Rehman has given an irresponsible statement about the security
institutions.
He said the nation has full confidence in the capabilities of Pakistan’s
armed forces, and it is standing by its armed forces steadfast.

Resending to a question, the Minister said the government will have no
other option but to impose lockdown if the Coronavirus situation
worsens.
To another question, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said the Prime
Minister’s upcoming visit to Saudi Arabia will further strengthen
Pakistan’s relations with brotherly country Saudi Arabia. He said
economic cooperation between the two countries will be further
expanded as a result of the visit.
Talking about complaints against the staff of Pakistan’s embassies
across the world, he said the Prime Minster has taken serious notice of
the matter.
