Pakistan reports highest 201 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel
coronavirus

ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 201 deaths –
highest till date – in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the
number of positive cases has surged to 810,231. The nationwide tally
of fatalities has jumped to 17,530 on Wednesday. So far 704,494
coronavirus patients have recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC), 5,292 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 88 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 47 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 86.9 percent. During the last 24 hours 4,678 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 5,214 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 88,207 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases, deaths from coronavirus pandemic and
active coronavirus patients in the country. Meanwhile Sindh province is

at first position in number of recovered coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand federal capital Islamabad has come on the
second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 12,635
active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are
12,467 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 47,106 in Punjab,
12,244 active coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,248 in
Balochistan, 2,282 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 125 in
Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 296,144 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab,
280,356 in Sindh, 115,596 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 21,945 in
Balochistan, 74,131 in Islamabad, 16,779 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,280 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore, 8,224 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab, 4,624 in Sindh, 3,201 in KP, 233 in Balochistan, 675 in
Islamabad, 468 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 105 in GB. Pakistan
has so far conducted 11,682,014 coronavirus tests and 49,101 in the
last 24 hours.
So far 263,265 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 240,814
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 100,051 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 60,821 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 20,464 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 14,029 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 5,050
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
