Coronavirus outbreak: Shehbaz, Maryam extend prayers for Indian
people

LAHORE, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)
President and Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Mian
Muhammad Shehbaz Sharifon on Sunday has extended prayers for the
people of India ‘devastated by covid-19’.
In a post on social-networking website Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif wrote,
“Humanity transcends religion and nationality at a time of death and
disease.”
Hope better sense prevails and South Asian countries can focus on
ensuring healthcare of our people instead of spending billions on
destroying each other, he added.

each other” Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif tweeted.
Meanwhile Qaumi Watan Party Chief Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao
contacted Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on telephone on Sunday
and congratulated him on his release on bail and also expressed well
wishes for him. Shehbaz Sharif thanked Aftab Sherpao on telephone
call and expressing well wishes. Both leaders also held discussion on
the overall situation and coronavirus situation in the country. Both

leaders agreed to remain in contact with each other on the problems
facing by country and masses.
Meanwhile Shehbaz Sharif contacted newly elected MNA from NA-75
Daska, Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar over telephone on Sunday and
congratulated her on winning the bye-election. Shehbaz Sharif said
that the people of the constituency have given respect to the daughter
of late Zahre Shah as considering their own daughter. Shehbaz Sharif
said that Nosheen Iftikhar bravely and consistently faced the vote theft
and lawlessness of the ruling party. Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated
the people of the constituency who along with casting vote for PML-N
also guarded their vote also. Shehbaz Sharif asked Nosheen Iftikhar to
appreciate the workers and officer bearers of party on best team work,
struggle and bravery in Daska election. Shehbaz Sharif said that soon
after the end of coronavirus pandemic he will personally visit Daska to
congratulate her and people of Daska to on election win.
Meanwhile Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President
Maryam Nawaz Sharif in a statement issued on twitter said that
heartbreaking scenes from India, may Allah have mercy on all of us.
Ameen. Maryam Nawaz said that hoping that we make it through this
pandemic and then work towards peace in South Asia which would
mean that both countries can spend more on health, education and
better lives for their people. Prayers.
