ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 118 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 729,920. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
15,619 on Tuesday. So far 638,267 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,318 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 76 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 40 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.1
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 87.4 percent. During the last 24 hours 3,432 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 4,198 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 76,034 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Sindh province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases and recovery of coronavirus patients in the
country. Meanwhile Punjab province is at first position in number of
deaths from the coronavirus and active coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come
on the second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are
13,070 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
There are 6,994 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 40,000
in Punjab, 12,925 active coronavirus in federal capital Islamabad, 783
in Balochistan, 2,163 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 99
in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 7,062 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,530 in Sindh, 2,683 in KP, 617 in Islamabad, 407 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 217 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 269,474 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh,
252,974 in Punjab, 100,275 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 66,983 in
Islamabad, 20,397 in Balochistan, 14,687 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,130 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
10,829,994 coronavirus tests and 50,520 in the last 24 hours.
So far 257,950 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 205,912
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 84,522 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 53,441 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 19,397 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 12,117 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 4,928
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
