ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 98 deaths in
the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases
has surged to 672,931. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
14,530 on Thursday. So far 605,274 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,974 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 50 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 26 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 89.9 percent. During the last 24 hours 2,148 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 3,303 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 53,127 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Sindh province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases and recovery of coronavirus patients in the
country. Meanwhile Punjab province is at first position in number of
deaths from the coronavirus and active coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand federal capital Islamabad has come on the
second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 10,401
active coronavirus patients present in Islamabad. There are 4,902
active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 26,898 in Punjab, 9,096
active coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 262 in Balochistan, 1,505
in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 63 in Gilgit-Baltistan
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 6,427 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,502 in Sindh, 2,363 in KP, 572 in Islamabad, 355 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 208 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 265,680 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh,
223,181 in Punjab, 88,099 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 58,557 in
Islamabad, 19,576 in Balochistan, 12,805 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,033 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
10,247,374 coronavirus tests and 50,055 in the last 24 hours.
So far 256,276 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 189,856
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 76,640 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 47,584 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 19,106 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 10,945 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 4,867
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
