ISLAMABAD, (MANEND NEWS): Pakistan has reported 78 deaths in the
last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has
surged to 667,957. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to
14,434 on Wednesday. So far 603,126 coronavirus patients have
recovered in the country.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and
Operation Center (NCOC) 4,757 persons tested positive for COVID-19
in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile the number of active coronavirus patients and daily
reported coronavirus patients are increasing day by day after the start
of the third coronavirus wave in the country. The number of active
coronavirus cases has crossed the 50 thousand mark; meanwhile only
in Punjab province the active coronavirus cases have crossed the
number of 25 thousand.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2.2
percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus
has reached 90.3 percent. During the last 24 hours 2,848 coronavirus
patients were recovered in the country. There are 3,197 critical
coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 50,397 active
coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Sindh province is at the top in number of total
reported coronavirus cases and recovery of coronavirus patients in the
country. Meanwhile Punjab province is at first position in number of
deaths from the coronavirus and active coronavirus patients in the
country. On the other hand federal capital Islamabad has come on the
second position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 9,807
active coronavirus patients present in Islamabad. There are 4,884
active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 25,465 in Punjab, 8,481
active coronavirus in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 260 in Balochistan, 1,446
in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 54 in Gilgit-Baltistan
Till now 6,365 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in
Punjab 4,497 in Sindh, 2,342 in KP, 568 in Islamabad, 352 in Azad
Jammu and Kashmir, 207 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 265,433 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh,
220,392 in Punjab, 87,055 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 57,833 in
Islamabad, 19,557 in Balochistan, 12,663 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
and 5,024 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted
10,197,329 coronavirus tests and 43,965 in the last 24 hours.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu
and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2
percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent
and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
So far 256,052 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 188,562
coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 76,232 coronavirus
patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 47,458 coronaviurs
patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 19,090 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 10,865 coronavirus
patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 4,867
coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
