Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government Decides to Promote Video Gaming Industry,

PESHAWAR, (MANEND NEWS): KP Science and Technology and Information Technology Department is
taking steps to reap real economic benefits from the gaming industry.
There is no shortage of talent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we will give new
and best opportunities to the youth to make money, said Ziaullah Bangash

He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has been launching projects
in IT sector to improve the economy through technology.

He further added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board
(KPITB) is considering allocating a budget for promotion of gaming
industry, which will train children for gaming industry and in
development and introduce the best games to the world by working on new
ideas.

IT Advisor said that gaming industry is one of the fastest growing
industries in the world. KP ST&IT Department is taking practical steps
to promote gaming industry in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

About the future of Games Zia stated that there are many virtual game
companies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. KP ST&IT Department has also invited
gaming industry related companies from other cities of Pakistan to
establish their set-up in KP province.

Regarding facilities Zia said that provincial government will provide
full support and assistance to anyone who wants to set up gaming company
in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will soon host a virtual gaming tournament in which
youth from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and all over Pakistan will be able to
participate said Ziaullah Bangash.

Asset Management Information System for Health Department KP–
USAID’s technology support for Digitizing Health Sector
  “We highly appreciate the USAID’s technology support for digitization
of health sector and automation of public health supply chain in the
province. The support has been pivotal to ensure commodity security and
improved healthcare service delivery.” said the Director Public Health,
Health Department, Dr. Ikram Ullah Khan as the training on KP Asset
Management LMIS concluded at a local hotel in Islamabad.
“USAID is supporting the digital governance agenda of the Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa health department which is also aligned with the President’s
most recent Ordinance on Health Data Center established at the NIH,
MoNHSR&C through Global Health Supply Chain project. Asset Management
System of the Health Department has been linked with a centralized data
system of Pakistan LMIS (www.lmis.gov.pk). After completion of this
digital effort in three focused districts, the system would be ready to
scale up to the entire province for management of equipment and other
assets. Around 290 type of assets have been recorded in the system which
helps maintenance, procurement planning and financing.” said the Country
Director, USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program. Dr. Muhammad Tariq
highly appreciated Government’s pursuit of introducing visibility, and
accountability for the expensive medical equipment and fixed assets for
the first time in the country.

USAID Pakistan is providing supply chain system strengthening support to
the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 2016 in addition to
assistance to the Prime Minister Hepatitis C Elimination Program,
Universal Health Coverage, Public Health Emergencies and Digital Health.
USAID has introduced a number of interventions related to technology
including Logistics Management Information System, HR capacity building,
and District Supply Chain Package including supply chain guidelines for
forecasting, supply planning, procurement, storage, distribution,
monitoring & evaluation.

The training was attended by officials from the Health Department, KP
and USAID. Certificates were distributed to the participants for
successful completion of the training.
